When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, "I used everything you gave to me".

About the Artist:
When I grew up in the Shadyside section of Pittsburgh,
I was fortunate enough to be exposed to many
well-known, extremely talented and creative adults.
At that time in the 50's through the 70's, my family
valued all forms of the arts from drama to architecture.
Though I have been creating art, in one form or another,
since my teens, my formal training was at the Ivy College
of Professional Art. In the 1980's I owned a hand painted
clothing store and went on to faux wall finishing and clay
jewelry creations. But painting on canvas has always been
my passion.
When I got married in the 80s, unlike most brides that
registered for china and linens, I registered for art.
To this day, I still cherish my Braque and Appel. The
statue shown in many of my photos was purchased in the
1970's by my mother, at the Pittsburgh Three Rivers Art
Festival. It has remained a focal point in all of my homes
for many years.
Once one of my homes had a flood warning issued in the
middle of the night. I immediately grabbed my children's
photos, my purse and my art collection and moved them
to higher ground. I remember thinking that everything else
was replaceable. That was 20 years ago and were it
today....I would pick the same items!
I believe that art makes your home. You should never buy
art to match your furniture, you should buy furniture to
compliment your art. There is no right or wrong in art. If
a painting strikes you, makes you think, makes you smile,
causes an emotion, then it's perfect for you and perfect for
your home!
